And here is my poem from 12th grade

But oh!, she looked my way as our eyes met,
And her attempted smile did speak to me
And lo', a saddened face hardly a threat
Filled with a world of dreams never to be.

Alas, my dearest sister forgotten once,
Verte moss and twigs did occupy her hair
So much was said among the silence
Such small webbed limbs; a child unaware.

Yet all the while did her familiar face
Suggest I understood this forest elf
Her eyes echoed of a distinctive place
Capture! I raised my lens, she saw herself.

Startled, she stared at me her eyes ablaze
And then alone was I among the haze.
